Rosedale jr is a very nice elementary School in the centre of South Rosedale. Most kids in the area south of the bridge go there if they're not at private school. Rosedale north invades Moore Park to attend Whitney or Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Most Rosedale students in the public system for their secondary education attend either Northern or Jarvis. Some say Jarvis may have higher academic standards but of course that's highly debatable and probably changes from year to year, while Northern is well known for its quality athletic programs. Northern may have the edge in that elusive area called school Spirit.
Of course a large number of the Rosedale crowd prefer a Private education. For the girls Branksome is located right in the community, and attracts students from around the world.Bishop Strachan and Havergal also cater to girls only, while Upper Canada College, perhaps the most prestigious in the Country is an all boys institution. St George's is smaller with a very good reputation but very little in the way of outdoor facilities. Crescent School is one of the better private schools in the Toronto area that welcomes both boys and girls. De La Salle College and St Michaels are the Catholic Schools for boys, and Catholic Schools for girls include Notre Dame, Loretto Abbey and St Josephs.
Community
Mooredale House 146 Crescent Road,
A great community centre run by the Rosedale and Moore Park residents associations. There is a small annual fee to join the organization, essential to do if you have children or are keen on community events. Sports programs abound for youth, filling up Rosedale Park with kids of all ages playing baseball soccer and hockey under ample supervision of volunteer parents, many of whom have actually played the games they are coaching. It's a lot of fun! Mooredale also has a wonderful swimming pool behind the house on Crescent, and they offer all kinds of activities for adults as well. The Tennis Courts at Rosedale Park have a clubhouse, a teaching professional, well run and maintained courts, several social round robins, a Ladder, a team that plays against other clubs in the city and some impressive players. Of course there is often a waiting list to join but is truly worth investigating.

This church is very busy, not just on Sundays, but throughout the week. There is something for everyone, and all kinds of opportunity for involvement, through social action, community worck outreach or pastoral care.
Rosedale Presbyterian
Rosedale United works closely with Rosedale Presbyterian to cater to the spiritual needs of Rosedale's Protestant community. In fact, in the summer months the congregations meet together, as each Church takes a holiday.
OLPH
Father Jim Hannah has just celebrated his 35th Anniversary as a priest and has certainly paid his dues in becoming a well loved pastor of this active church. The parish mission statement states that OLPH strives to be a dynamic and welcoming parish that is responsive to the spiritual needs of the whole community through all the cycles of life. Father Jim makes it happen.
Services
Summerhill Market has been a landmark in the neighborhood for over 50 years. Hang around there on a weekend and you're bound to run into a celebrity or two. If you've opened an account there just call out your number in the grocerey line and you can feel like you've arrived as part of the inner circle of Rosedale. You can expect special treatment from the staff as they call out your name and give that extra nod of service. The store has undergone a stunning renovation and the setting is now as delicious as the food. They have homeade soups, all kinds of prepared salads, even full dinners, as well as a complete line of fresh meat fish and vegetables. Don't bother to do price checks. You will not be impressed. But with the quality of your purchases and the ambience as you stroll the ailes food and the ambience. Yes ! Yes!
